This Privacy Policy governs our data collection, processing, and usage practices. It also describes your choices regarding use, access, and correction of your personal information. If you do not agree with the data practices described in this Privacy Policy, you should not use our website or the ShareDirect platform.
We periodically update this Privacy Policy. We will post any changes on this page and, if the changes are significant, we will provide more prominent notice by sending you an email notification. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.

ShareDirect is a personalized digital engagement platform for associations, alumni networks, nonprofits, and member-based communities. Our platform allows customers to create personalized engagement hubs (ESites) for their leaders, members, and sponsors, enabling community engagement and relationship building at scale. Information added to the ShareDirect platform — either by site visitors providing contact information or when a ShareDirect platform user adds information — is stored and managed on our service providers' servers.
We use our own website (www.sharedirecttech.com) to provide information about ShareDirect and the Heron Martech platform family. Information we collect through our website is used for our own marketing and is used, disclosed, and protected according to this Privacy Policy.
Our customers and their users use the ShareDirect platform to build personalized engagement experiences for their members and communities. Heron Martech does not control the content our customers create or the types of information they may choose to collect through the platform. That information belongs to our customers and is used, disclosed, and protected by them according to their own privacy policies. Heron Martech processes customer information as directed and in accordance with our service agreements.
We have no direct relationship with individuals who provide Personal Information to our customers through the ShareDirect platform. If you wish to access, correct, or delete information a ShareDirect customer has collected about you, please contact that customer directly.
Our agreements with customers prohibit the collection, management, or processing of Sensitive Information through the ShareDirect platform. Sensitive Information includes credit or debit card numbers, personal financial account information, Social Security numbers, passport numbers, driver's license numbers, racial or ethnic origin, physical or mental health information, or other sensitive employment, financial, or health data.
The ShareDirect platform collects and processes engagement data generated by platform activity. This includes, but is not limited to: member hub visitor behavior (pages viewed, content accessed, resources downloaded, time spent), leader activity data (content published, sponsor zones configured, communications sent), sponsor engagement attribution data (content views, click-throughs, co-branded zone performance), Engagement Score data derived from aggregated member behavioral signals, and email open and click tracking data. This data is collected on behalf of and made available to the ShareDirect customer (the organization) operating the relevant platform. Heron Martech uses aggregated, anonymized engagement data to improve platform performance and product development; we do not use individual engagement data for our own marketing or disclose it to third parties except as described in Section 4.
Members, leaders, sponsors, and other individuals who interact with customer-created hubs and ESites should be aware that their interactions are tracked and reported to the ShareDirect customer (the organization) operating that hub. Individuals who wish to opt out of tracking should contact the organization directly or refrain from visiting the hub.
You may explore our website without providing any Personal Information. When you contact us, request a demo, or subscribe to communications, we request Personal Information such as your name, email address, organization name, phone number, and related details.
Personal Information includes any information you voluntarily submit that identifies you personally — contact details, organization information, transaction data, and information publicly available through services such as LinkedIn, Google, or other sources. It also includes Navigational Information (IP address, browser type, referral source, pages viewed, length of visit) where that information can directly or indirectly identify an individual.
We use analytics software to understand how the ShareDirect platform is used. This software may record information such as how often you use the platform, events that occur within it, aggregated usage data, and performance data. We may link information stored in analytics tools to Personal Information you have provided.
When you use our services or view our content, we automatically collect information about your computer hardware and software, including IP address, browser type, domain names, ISP, files viewed, operating system, clickstream data, access times, and referring website addresses. This information is used to operate and maintain the ShareDirect platform and to provide aggregate usage statistics.
From time to time, we may receive Personal Information about you from third-party sources, including partners with whom we offer co-branded services or conduct joint marketing, and publicly available sources such as social media platforms.
Our website and platform are not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information about children under 16. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us at privacy@heronmartech.com.

Our Terms of Use prohibit use of the ShareDirect platform to send unsolicited commercial email in violation of applicable laws and requires the inclusion of an opt-out mechanism in every marketing email sent through the platform. Violations by a customer can result in immediate suspension or termination of service.
You may unsubscribe from our marketing communications by clicking the "unsubscribe" link in any of our emails, or by contacting us at privacy@heronmartech.com. Note that you cannot opt out of transactional emails related to your account or our services.
Our customers are solely responsible for their own marketing communications. To unsubscribe from a customer's communications, use the unsubscribe link in their emails or contact them directly.
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) provide you with specific rights regarding your personal information.
In the preceding 12 months, we have collected the following categories of personal information: identifiers (name, email address, organization name, IP address); professional or employment-related information (role, organization, chapter or cohort membership); commercial information (products or services considered); internet or other electronic network activity (platform usage data, hub interaction data, engagement analytics); and inferences drawn from any of the above to create a profile about engagement preferences.
To exercise any of the above rights, contact us at privacy@heronmartech.com. We will verify your identity and respond within 45 days. That period may be extended by an additional 45 days when necessary, with notice provided. You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf by providing written authorization.
If you are a visitor to a ShareDirect customer's hub or ESite, your request to access or delete data collected through that hub should be directed to the organization (ShareDirect customer) operating it, as they are the data controller for that information.
